Your Wellness Dimensions

Wellness is far more important than we realize, for when we achieve our wellness goals we pave the way for preventing disease.

Mastering Your Wellness Dimensions

There are so many different dimensions of wellness but we need to find that one dimension that we need to work on most to start with. The idea of making several drastic lifestyle changes is daunting and may just end up being like one of those dream new year resolutions we had but did not achieve. The key is to start small and be consistent.

There are several dimensions of wellness such as physical, environmental, spiritual, emotional, financial, intellectual, occupational and social and we may be doing well in some of these dimensions and not doing so well in the others.

During the lockdown prior to the vaccine phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of us were anxious due to the uncertainty of what would happen next, when families would reunite again and when work would resume. This was the time when people became more health savvy and wellness became a topic of interest for most.

Wellness is far more important than we realize, for when we achieve our wellness goals we pave the way for preventing disease. Our life situations and health parameters are unique and each of us needs to start working on one aspect of our wellbeing that will impact our health the most. Start with identifying yours.

Occupational wellness can be achieved by enjoying your work and also by striking a reasonable work-life balance.
